The Piano Teacher is a little piece of art, and it's based on a book by Elfriede Jelinek (she recently won the Nobel Prize).

I haven't seen Time of the wolf yet... anyone did?

Funny Games

...is a very disturbing film directed by Michael Haneke.

I read somewhere that this could be the cure for Kill Bill fans. [crazy]

I find her music very appealing. It's not something you could call groundbreaking, but she accomplished something in terms of songwriting, especially on her last cd, "The finest thing".

And her languid voice is absolutely charming.

Meredith Monk

Meredith Monk (composer, singer, filmmaker, choreographer and director) was one of the inspirations for Bj?rk's Med?lla. Her beautiful music relies mainly on her voice and her piano.

Anyone knows/likes her?

Interesting.

As Stina said, most of her lyrics are inspired from real life events, but there is always a "fiction filter"...

The song Kuhn interpreted was not "O superman" but "From the air"... Another song from that great Laurie Anderson album, Big Science. O superman is a parody of Jules Massenet's aria "O Souverain". I think Laurie's version is about technology slowly replacing the gap hum...

I would like to know more about the Dogme. Who are the main film-makers? What rules should a film follow to be considered a 'Dogme' movie?

I know they shoot with hand held cameras and only on location, but that's it.
