She is hilarious too though of course, I must just post this clip from 'Letters Live', where she has been a regular performer. :-D
I was trying to remember who Olivia reminded me during that monologue, and then it came to me......Joyce Grenfell !! :D

Re: The Innocence Mission

I must dive deeper in their albums, each one I heard is great! I purchased Glow (an early album) many many years ago and I wasn't keen. Then I found 'sun on the square' in a charity shop and I absolutely love it. I've since bought its follow up,' See You Tomorrow' (the follow up to 'sun on the squa...

The Innocence Mission

I've been playing the album 'Sun On The Square' by The Innocence Mission quite a lot recently, and if I close my eyes then I really can hear Stina's voice here. Both Karen Peres and Stina sound uncannily alike at times and both artists emerged at roughly the same time in the late 1980's,albeit thousa...

Re: Let's Eat Grandma

Oh I see you! ^ Looking good for a 97 year old Rob, wonderful that you're still getting out to gigs. :D Oi young Beth, you can knock 33 years off that figure thank you very much. :D I like the girl at the beginning having a lay down on the stage, it must get tiring playing gigs. :D Well yeah,it was...

Re: Men

Is this one I probably shouldn't watch, Rob? Yeah,I'd give this one a miss if I were you. I've liked Olivia Coleman ever since the Broardchurch series and many of my friends have seen Empire of Light and have liked it. I'm not over keen on the cinema though (I don't think I've b...

Re: Video: Stina performing 'Soon after Christmas' live in 1991.

So how do you do a search on Google Images for eg '1991'? I can't get anything better than 'Any time' or 'Past Year' or 'Last Month' etc In the Google search box I just type in 'Stina Nordenstam' + '1991'. The first page just brings up 'all' results but you can modify those results by clicking on '...

Re: Video: Stina performing 'Soon after Christmas' live in 1991.

I think Stina is initially distracted (and perhaps a bit annoyed) by the various sounds of the audience and other artists performing but she's soon totally focused on her performance. Its hard to believe that this video has been on Facebook for three and a half years !! I only came across a ...

Re: Let's Eat Grandma

So since my last post I've seen Let's Eat Grandma live a further three times this year, once in May in London, and twice in November, in London yet again and in Norwich, three days later. Footage of the Norwich gig has appeared on You Tube (naturally?) and (shock, horror), I'm very briefly (for about ...

Re: How are you today?

I still harbour hopes of another forum meet up at some point, Rob. 8) I'm in much different circumstances now than I was back then, more financially stable and able to travel and do stuff, so you never know. London is only a train ride away, although personally I think you should all come to Scotla...

Re: How are you today?

Oh and talking of Scottish islands, I spent a week on Eigg last week (cue RobB joke) - wonderful. That's the island where the islanders bought out the Laird in the '90s. Fabulous. I thought that was the island where you tripped over and you ended up with Eigg on your face? Hello Beth,lovel...

Re: Let's Eat Grandma

Thanks for the link Dave, I hadn't seen that Marx Brothers film or clip before. Given its age its certainly very clever.
