Good and bad gig experiences

Following on from my comments about Ms Chan Marshall (aka Catpower) on another thread, how about people posting some of their best and worst gig experiences. Some of the best Numerous Rush gigs when I was younger and they were in their pomp, I really would get transported to another world when I was...

Re: I have a dream...and it was about Stina

Hey! maybe it was not a dream at all, but a premonition :D

Still I bet there will be plenty of people who are jealous that you got to see Stina play live (all be it a short set) even if it was in a dream, me included.

Re: A skill of Stina's that we never knew about...

I have good intelligence that says Stina was the British Shin Kicking Champion in 2001, or at least I would like to think this is a skill of Stina's we never knew about  .

Re: 5 great lost albums

I guess I set the boundaries fairly wide, the artistes dont necessarily have to be virtually unknown, and I kind of expected some people would have heard of the muses, but I was not sure about the others. Basically I was just hoping people would enthuse about a few albums that others would then chec...

5 great lost albums

5 great-lost albums. I know I don’t visit the board frequently enough, but in an attempt to get some communication going, I am asking people to give information on 5 albums they consider being great-lost albums. The theme is open to interpretation, so you can pick seriously underground records or ju...

Re: Pertinent old thread...

I never quite no where to sit with the whole, when on earth is a Artist going to get around to releasing a new record, and being interested in knowing what kind of a person they are. Two things strike me though, firstly it does seem that with the Internet, it has never been easier for artistes to pu...

Tegan & Sara are rather good aren't they. There is something about their voices that is very appealing. I have So Jealous and If I was you, and I really must check out The Con.

Re: The Degados

The Delgados are brilliant, if you like them you should definately check out Universal Audio, thier last and best album I think, plus check out Emma Pollocks solo album 'watch the fireworks' too.

Re: Atonement

Book - brilliant. Film - average.

I cannot understand why it got such fantastic reviews, even James Mcevoy and Romala garia who are normally brilliant were odinary in this.

Re: Juno

No its not prominent, but it is a good one (then again I like B&S), Kimya Dawson's tracks have the most prominence.

The film is excellent by the way.

I also thought Ellen was brilliant in Hard Candy, so she is definately one to watch.
