Here is a review about Stina for "Another Story Girl" (though the photo is from her second album):

Re: Dynamite reviews

RobB: I believe the ad was in the 1997 year issues of Q, not 1996. I still have my Q review of Dynamite (I think Nov or Dec 1996). Bt I recall the ad was in the year 1997 - so maybe Jan 1997, or Feb, March of 1997? I'm so pissed I threw that copy away that featured the ad! - Why did I do that?? If y...

Dynamite reviews

I once had a Q magazine that had an ad for the Dynamite album. It had many quotes from other reviews about the album. But then I was cleaning out my house and threw the magazine away. Does anyone have that ad? Can you type out the quotes from reviews on that ad? Does anyone have reviews for the dyna...

Re: Are CDs over?

I wonder what would happen if they did stop production of CDs altogether? Do you think it would affect the artist in anyway? Would people be less inclined to support the artist if they didn't have some sort of physical artifact to acquire (like a CD)? Also, people prefer to watch films online or ord...

Re: Are CDs over?

- two minidisc player/recorders, one of them is HiMD. Minidiscs are great, like cassettes, only better and excellent sound. Sony have stopped making them, and will cease disc production soon. Boo hiss! They are an ideal tool for a working musician. Do you mean Sony will stop making CDs or Minidiscs...

Re: Are CDs over?

Maybe CDs will never truly be over...They still make some Mini HiFi systems. I don't think they are that good, but I now see them making turntables more than they ever did ten years ago. I guess we can't expect much when you hear the music of today, most of which is horrible. I mean, to own an actua...

Re: Are CDs over?

But I'm still feeling very upset of that prospect. Many of us have very huge CD collections - has anyone noticed that they don't make CD players that much anymore? It's even weirder that they continue to make CDs and not many CD players. How many people here really honestly believe they will do away...

Are CDs over?

Would you continue to buy physical Stina CDs or only download them?

How many people still buy CDs?

Will CDs end very soon, do you think?

She's funny

How come no one thinks she is funny in her interviews? I read somewhere that she bought videotapes of Spinal Tap and the Simpsons. She thought that Spianl Tap was repulsive and that The Simpsons were depressing. She kept the videotapes around in case someone with kids came over and she could play th...

Re: Through a Glass Darkly

Through a Glass Darkly is where Andersson has a mental breakdown. I think of Ingmar Bergman when I hear songs like "Alone at Night" (which is very, very Swedish sounding in song and spirit). I also think of Ingmar Bergman when I hear Another Story Girl, Crime, Murder in Maryland Park, The ...

Through a Glass Darkly

I watched this film again for the first time in 11 years. Does Stina Nordenstam's music remind anyone else of Ingmar Bergman films?

Re: Peter Gabriel references Stina

I hate Peter Gabriel. Whenever I learn that the artists I hate listen to Stina Nordenstam, it makes me sad. I really wish she could be kept more of a secret.
