I've never almost-cried at a commercial before

I must be getting soft in my old age, cuz I almost balled like a baby.

THIS is the most touching commercial I've ever seen. Beautiful. Enjoy.

Re: Doctor Who

Speaking of the music, you just triggered a great memory. We'd sit on the couch and my brother pretended he was a janitor for a creepy rollercoaster ride. He told us that we could tell it was him walking around, by the keys on his belt. He then played the Dr Who vinyl we had ( I wonder if my parents...

Doctor Who

I know it's not a movie, but My husband and I are hooked on this BBC series!!!! I was never really that entertained by the old ones, but that may have been because my Dad always watched them ;) Every episode is a brand new plot, it NEVER gets boring. Russel T. Davies(the writer), is amazing! I've ne...

Re: Very upsetting for animal lovers, but important.

My first thought was "Why don't they just kill them first?" I was sickened when I read the answer in your post. Yeah, this stuff goes on all over the place, whether we know about it or not. I used to have a friend that was big against the horse slaughter horses in the US. It's like...we're...

Re: [rec]

I think I saw 'Innocence" a while ago. I have to search out some clips to remember it, though. I remember books better than movies. Anyone ever see 'Fando & Lis'? It's a rare movie from the late60's directed by Alejandro Jodorowsky. It's about a girl, paralysed from the waist down and a guy...

Re: The Björk Thread

Does anyone like Bjorks' recent stuff? I find it hard to category what I've heard as music. I've only heard clips, so I won't judge until I head more, but... I think Bjork's finally lost her touch with reality completely. And I think it's funny to think about. Did you see that video on youtube about...

Re: Any other artists you hold as high as Stina?

Yeah, Juliana... honesty above all. Great artistical career. did you get her autobiography ? I did. I saw her at the Bowery in September and picked that and her new cd up. Also, Hayden opened for her that day and I got their cd, too. I haven't finished the book, though. I have so many other things ...

Any other artists you hold as high as Stina?

Artistically, none.

Principlly and quality-wise? Juliana Hatfield.
The only other one that hasn't really let me down and stayed in touch with reality. Plus, I'm a sucker for shy, timid women. Simpliy spoken.

Yeah...so Littlest Things has become a deeply sentimental song for me and an ex. I find myself listening to it on repeat waay too much.

I've decided there are some songs on her album that make me want to puke and some that are just feel good songs. She's nothing spectacular, but I love her accent.

I must plainly state that i think "Rid of Me" is the best of all. The title song alone, so creepily stalkish that it gives me the creeps. Not to mention "Highway '61", "50 ft. Queenie" and "Me-Jane" rock. And what about "Uh Huh Her?" "Shame"...
