The Walkabouts ~ 'And She Closed Her Eyes'

Post by RobB »

Covers by professional artists of Stina's song are very few and far between. Here's one of the few....The Walkabouts with their cover of 'And She Closed her Eyes'.

I can harldy recognize the song. As Stina did in People are strange.
Nice version though. And this band is great.

I don't think Stina was impressed. I have a hazy memory of Stina being asked about their version and she just laughed. Actually,an even hazier memory is that I might have asked the question !!! [b)] Personally I really like their version as they didn't do what Sarah Brightman did with 'Murder In Mairyland Park' and make a very clever forgery.
I only have two albums by The Walkabouts, Train Leaves At Eight (which features ASCHE) and Devil's Road, which has some really good tracks on it, like The Light Will Stay On.
