Happy New Year everyone! I started 2013 with tonsillitis...

..but I'm sure that must mean the bad karma is out of the way for the rest of the year now

Oh Dan, I sympathise ..... tonsilitis is grim.

I am just getting over a bout of proper flu. I think this is the 4th year in a row I've been sick at Christmas / New Year. I'm starting to hate this time of year.

I did get to see Rocco open his presents on the day, which was fun. He loved the little electronic keyboard I got him, he does seem to enjoy anything musical.

I ended up having to go home early because I felt so ill, and spent the rest of the day curled up in my quilt. Bah humbug.

We had quite a deep snowfall here yesterday, my daughter called to tell me she had taken Rocco out to play in it, his first time in the snow! Apparently he loved it and was out for ages, not wanting to come in. He didn't like the sled though, just wanted to run around.

I went out in it for a while myself yesterday, clearly my inner child has not quite faded away yet! I do love the snow when its just fallen, all fresh and soft. Lots of kids out playing in it which was nice to see.

No posts in this thread for over 2 months. Is everybody really depressed or what?

Are any of you lot on Twitter? I joined the other day purely to reply to something, but I need some practice in how to work it.

Ooh, can I stalk, um I mean follow you?

I looked through the Twitter Basics thing but I remain somewhat confused, I need to actually start using it to find out for myself how it works. I'll look you up, thanks alex.

I haven't joined Twatter or ever had cause to use it.
In fact I don't understand it at all, it seems like the ultimate in internet vanity, (which is something).
...I think I must inhabit a different universe to the majority of westerners.

I only really discovered it recently, there are a few favourite actors/musicians/writers whose feeds I check out now and again. You have to join if you want to reply though. It's a bit confusing for the elderly and bewildered like myself, with the hashtags and so on, but I'm sure alex will educate me.

There's no privacy on Facebook, tons of ads and all those game requests :! [censor]

My fave social network is Google+, because the tech community is huge there, also a lot of great science articles; serious business so

Just home after a trip to London to spend the afternoon inside studio two, Abbey Road studios....again....yes,i went last year as well.

Must be my fifth visit to the studios now but i never tire of being in the same room where artists such as the Beatles,Kate Bush, Pink Floyd, the Shadows, Mrs Mills (huh?) etc etc etc recorded their hits. 8)

I'll get some piccies up over the weekend sometime.
