Happy Christmas!

Post by blue »

Hope everyone has a good time. I'm so happy the snow is still on the ground here for Christmas Eve. First white Christmas since I came to live in southern England 30 years ago!

I've decided I'm staying home by myself tomorrow, was invited to my daughter's but her OH's mother is going to be there, and boy is she hard work. :D

Hope you all have a fine time whatever you're doing.

Do you know, I have never in my life bought Christmas crackers. A more utterly pointless object I cannot imagine. :?: :D

The worst thing about having a Christmas birthday is that people tend to forget it. They've already bought you a Christmas present so .... :D

My brother was born on Boxing Day and I don't think the poor sod has ever had a proper birthday, really. In recent years he's taken to going off for the day, usually horseracing or gambling.

Well I have to say, I enjoyed my Christmas alone so much that I've more or less decided to do it every year from now on. Watched what I liked, had my music blaring because the neighbours were away, had Indian food for Christmas dinner. Bliss. ^

Well well, yes I'm pretty used to it, sure, now.

It's been great, I had nice presents and birthday cake and wishes, and money too, so that I'll finally be able to buy me a long awaited Digital SLR ^

I tried to send everyone a happy Xmas on Xmas eve,but the net was going incredibly slowly (one of the downsides to living out here in the wilderness) and even though I 'submitted' a few replies,I just kept coming back to the blank Reply box.
So-belated Merry Xmas !!
I spent mine traversing the country visiting various relations and indulging with reasonable moderation, all fairly pleasant.

As there are so few of us on here these days there didn't seem much point in creating another 'Happy Christmas' thread so here's last years thread again. :D

Actually,as i'm doing exactly the same thing as last year,i may as well paste in last years message while i'm at it.

I'm off down to my brothers place for din dins where the family will be gathering.

Wishing everyone a very happy & peaceful Christmas.

happy christmas to you all, fellow members [bday]
I believe in your smile everyday
But I know that you're far from my way
When I talk to the moon I can hear you
In the dark I can see, I can feel your light

Ha, little did I know my daughter would be expecting in February! So for little Rocco's first Christmas I will be going to Kate's and braving the company of his other grandmother, at least for a couple of hours.

My new-old mate Jackie has promised to come and rescue me after dinner and take me to hers, where we will get drunk and watch a marathon of DVDs. ^
