Ice, you were the one most tender with the rivers.

Completely bonkers.
I guess more and more April Fools are going to be of the mass-takeover sort.

I didn't see the Guardian yesterday, they always have an April Fool, but apparently one of the things they did was advertise a DFS Sale ENDING!

As it happens, I was part of a flash mob yesterday in Sainsburys in Frome.Yes, Sainsburys again. The three guys I sing with all live in Frome and one of them, Guy, is doing this Independence for Frome thing, so he organised this happening at 7.30 yesterday evening and wrote an arrangement of the Desmond Dekker hit, with the four of us leading the parts. If you look hard, that's me in the middle (behind Guy, the bald one). There were about 100 people involved, all 'shopping' at the same time and converging on the veg counter at 7.30  . Everyone seemed to love it, especially the Sainsburys staff-I think they got a hunch that something was about to happen, and it was much less terrifying than they thought it was going to be.

Great stuff Dave. 8)

Pity that old geezer had to ruin things though by starting to clap, totally forgetting that he was still holding a shopping basket eh?

I love how people are just running with it, there's been another 17 reviews added since I posted the link! :D ^

Brilliant, flash mobs are genius. I just wish I could see it.

I've always wondered, what do flash mobs do after the event? Do you all go down the pub and get smashed? :D

Actually I had to get a train home asap because my son had to go out and do a 12-hour badminton marathon for charity, and needed feeding. (My other half has gone off to a Klezmer workshop for the w/e -and it's Mother's Day tomorrow, I ask you).
Hopefully someone will put up a better video of it.
Apparently one of the Guardian April Fools (on the Guardian website anyway) was declaring that the Royal Wedding was off. A tad risky, that one.
And do you get Metro (freebie rag) round your way? I was reading it on the train and they had a story, complete with picture, about issuing an edible version of Metro soon.

Meanwhile it seems that the appalling Sunday Sport is about to die. They didn't do April Fools but they did put hilariously stupid headlines on their front pages. 'My dog is Hitler' ; 'London Bus found on Mars' etc. The articles were usually written by one Bertie Ollocks.

Back on the tinfoil, it's hysterical. I wonder when Amazon will rumble it and put a stop to it?

I believe in your smile everyday
But I know that you're far from my way
When I talk to the moon I can hear you
In the dark I can see, I can feel your light

I'd love to know how pets are supposed to build their own coffins

Great titles, Alex! The 'anus -constricting' one, and some of the reviews which follow are hilarious.

I can't believe the first reviewer of the Vagina colouring book is called 'Cate Lunt'

Some of the reviews are so creative, it gladdens my heart to know there are so many loons out there with that kind of humour.

Dave, did you look at the customer images on the tinfoil one? The cat with tinfoil horns!! :D :D :D

I'm assuming Amazon staff must be in on it, reviews are supposedly moderated on that site. I wonder if it was started by them, or maybe by employees of the company that makes the tinfoil? :D
