This utterly charming low budget (£100k) Irish indie film is possible once of the best 'musical' films ever made.
A guitar playing busker on the streets of Dublin meets a young 'Big issue' selling....( sometimes flower selling) woman from the Czech republic and the film captures their growing friendship through the writing and playing of music over a course of a week.
The songs and performances are wonderful and the acting entirely natural ( musicians Glen Hansard & Marketa Irglova had never acted before)......a truly heartwarming film.
Anyone else seen it?
