Brooke Waggoner & other new favourites

Hey Desire Ave crew,

I've been a lurker for some time....but thought I'd leap in with my favourite musical discovery of the year.
Brooke Waggoner's new album is really blowing me away and I thought some here would enjoy it. I know a lot of folks get compared to Kate Bush but it's fair and wonderfully true for Brooke...i think...

Brooke got quite a pleasant voice. I could hear a kind of Kate Bush ( or Happy Rhodes?) influence on Go Easy Little Doves but more of a Jane Siberry influence on Femmes & Godwin.

Some nice strings on Wish For Bridges & Femmes too.

btw....i had to edit your MySpace link which was broken. (you'd left the e out of Brooke)

Thanks Rob for fixing the link for me! The whole Go Easy Little Doves album is so gorgeous and really transports you. Her use of her voice feels very Kate Bush-like....and dreamy.

I'd love to keep sharing other discoveries as I'm always up for new music.
