Still, at least you only have to do six hours.......presumably?
Yes, like most shops we're only allowed to open six hours on a Sunday. I do the shift on my own though, nobody to talk to apart from the odd customer and the security guards, if they're bored too. :(
Rob wrote:To keep busy i'm forever picking up clothes off the floor, placing the hangers the right way around, tidying up the bric-a-brac shelf, squaring up the cds and dvds, and pushing all the books back level on their shelves.......and if i'm really desperate, put them back in descending size order. 8)
I hadn't realised you were working, Rob? Sounds like voluntary work in a charity shop?
Rob wrote:Best bit though is the ladies underwear section....i'm usually tidying that up even when its already neat and tidy. [angel]
Bwahaha, you're incorrigble. :D

I think you SHOULD go out in the Mall and shout 'I'm so bored!'. I bet someone would respond

I haven't worked in a shop for years-unless you count my own stall at Festivals hawking my wares, not quite the same.
But I did work in an (independent!) record shop in Leeds for a while in my twenties, and was often there on my own.
No chance of boredom-I had about 5000 LPs to listen to. :) Hey, a bit like the tabby in my avatar over on the left there...
A great way to discover artists/check them out.

Maybe some of the Sunday strollers would take pity on me and become customers! Alternatively, they might call an ambulance. Or the police. :(

I believe in your smile everyday
