Finally got to see this last week, have waited a very long time.
By director Luc Besson of Leon/Fifth Element fame, it's a rather lovely modern take on It's A Wonderful Life, set in Paris and filmed in gorgeous B&W (I love B&W, some films it works in brilliantly, better than colour!). I won't give anything else away, but it's a really good film with a rather lovely soundtrack by Anja Garbarek

Re: Angel A
I waited even longer, Daniel!
Finally saw this last night, mostly because of the connection to Anja Garbarek's music. Next to Stina, I consider Anja to be the most musically interesting woman working in popular music now, even more than Bjork.
Anyway, I was blown away by the film, which also has echoes of another of my favourite films, Wings of Desire. Beautiful cinematography, great performances by the two main leads and a resonant message. Highly recommended. The extras on the DVD about the making of the film (Paris looking gorgeous in b/w) are excellent too.
