'Sharon & Hope' promo film information.

Post by RobB »

With thanks to Rupert Bingham, director of the 'Sharon & Hope' promotional film, some new pieces of background information have come to light.

With the passing of 15 years, this info is not set in stone though:

Sharon & Hope was filmed about 4 months after Welcome To Happiness and was shot (again) in London, in a film studio at the old Bacardi rum warehouse and tanking depot near the docks.

Rupert thinks it was all done in one day, with the cast being filmed first and Stina's sections afterwards.

One initial idea for the film was to have Stina filmed on a city roof top and have (via post-production) the 'Indian Evel Knievel' fly past her.

I haven't been able to locate the film studio involved although there is now a 'Rum Factory' art studio complex in Pennington Street,in the Wapping / Bermondsey area which may have been the location. This warehouse also use to be the home of Rupert Murdoch's News International HQ.
