Re: Stina's songs missing in action!
Did Stina ever write a song called 'Fotografie' ?
This on-line Discography has an interesting entry which suggests that in 2004, a group called Camping released an album entitled 'Surburban Shore' which included a translation of a song, now called 'Photograph' but originally called 'Fotografie',which was written by Stina.
Thats my reading of the entry anyway.

Re: Stina's songs missing in action!
Look a bit more closely and I think they've put the info by the wrong track-track number 4 is 'Crime'-aha!
If you look in the credits above the tracklisting,it credits members of the band with writing tracks 1-3,5-10,so I think it's just a misprint, and they actually mean track 4.
As it happens, the album is in the iTunes online store so I went and had a listen to the free 30-second sample of each track.
'Fotografie' is a bossa nova, doesn't have the aura of Stina about the words, even in German.'Crime',musically nothing like the Stina version, nonetheless scans the words in the rhythm of Stina's 'Crime',and from what I can make out of the lyrics in the 30 second sample, each line seems to begin with 'Ich' (I) which would accord with Stina's chorus. My German is pretty non-existent,but I know what 'Ich' means.
Discogs.com is a great site,I use it a lot.

Now that you've mentioned it, I suppose the credits are correct and that they've deliberately inserted them above the song in question.
I just assumed the credits would always be below the song.
Oh well,another phantom song disappears.

Also rather telling is that in the eight years that i've been visiting eBay I have never seen a single copy for sale by Shoval or Stomer.sound world wrote:I've just re-searched

Ditto 'Sasha Erikson'
I've had Erikson and Shoval as 'My Favourite' searches on eBay since 2003,and haven't had a single notification except to remind me to renew my search every two years.
Well,if they are genuine artistes,I hope they're not trying to live off the royalties.

I am almost 100 percent sure these releases do not exist.
Even though "Stina" said so, it does not mean anything. Could be a prank of some sort.
After all, mystery comes first.

Just bumping up this topic in case anyone has any new info to add regarding the songs mentioned in this thread?

Re: Stina's songs missing in action!
I went through the Swedish Newspaper archive from 1969 to 2020 using the search term "Magnus Shoval", and similarly "Sasha Erikson".
Not a single result for either of them. I rest my case.
