I'd probably hate all those people too,but I don't because....I don't watch TV!
and therefore avoid them.
You should try it sometime! Just turn the thing OFF.
I also think it's a waste of energy to hate things.[angel]

I read about Paris Hilton occasionally and it's like reading about some other planet which I don't want to be on.
Robbie Williams,along with 99.9 % of popsingers,seems like an overhyped lack of talent.But I've been used to being in the same industry as such people all along,so I don't care.Good luck to anyone who can make a success in the music industry,if that's the way they want success.I'm with Stina

I can confirm that leaving your TV off most of the time does ease the burden of hatred you carry through life. Mine only gets put on twice a year, for Wimbledon and the Proms.

I also don't get the 'hate' for celebs. I mean ..... they're so insignificant. I find it hard to care at all what they get up to, never mind feel strongly enough to hate them.

My hate is reserved for:

Misogynists

Racists

Religious fanatics

Bad parents

This group collectively spawn most of the evil in this world. Add in all those who choose to go through life ignoring or actively colluding with them, rather than challenging them, and hey presto - a world full of malice and tragedy.

Agree completely.Except that I'd prefer not to HATE them but find some more positive way.....education and ethics.
It's like-if you get chatting to someone on the bus who turns out to be racist,it doesn't really help anyone by getting angry with them.

Don't know about Dave, but I console myself with the thought that some of that money goes toward funding the BBC orchestras. As long as they're deriving some benefit from it, I shan't grumble too much about paying the licence fee when I hardly switch the thing on.

Paris Hilton equals the kind of people I hate.

Honestly, yes, hate may seem a waste of energy (but seems to give me more of it), but it's a natural human emotion. Hate usually equals action...not always a rational action, but an action nonetheless. I have nothing against it, but not everyone can handle it logically. If you know what I mean.

It's quite easy to truly hate who you don't know. I can say I hate black people, but the truth is I only despise the common depiction of them, whereas I get to know some of them and realize some are okay and others are...gay(slang). And Iknow there are plenty of other people, white etc. that I hate equally. That's why I can never be a true rascist, I'm too smart for that. Only judge what you know/who you know. Am I making sense? I hope it came out right. I'm in a rush.

p.s. I'm half black so I can say this;) haha!

I hadn't thought about that...but I get satisfaction from knowing that I didn't pay a licence fee for years and years,despite owning a telly.

And these days my son watches about an hour a day,so that's about 40p per day.Fair do's.He likes nature programmes,old comedies and so on ,which is fine by me.Some of his peers are completely lost without their daily dose of 'Pop Idol','Big Brother','Celebrity Gnome Wrestling' etc,which is really sad,I reckon.

Just to clarify, is 'Celebrity Gnome Wrestling' a homorous example of what a popular television programme might be called, or can you actually watch celebrities wrestle gnomes?
