I'm not sure wether this is Stina's wish or the wish of V2 music. Let's remember that V2 only distributes. They don't really have that much to say about the period that an album is released in.

It really worries me. The album would be released in spring 2007 according to the first emails of Helen. But then in january 2007 Stina was suddenly back in the studio. Is she still recording now?

I asked Helen if there would be a possibility to interview stina for the board. She answered that there might be a chance to do so in august. I'm still hoping for a fall release then.

If it would be released in 2008, then it would be four years after the release of TWIS. What income does Stina have to cover the costs of daily life?

That sounds encouraging Paul.

Maybe the board members could put forward a series of questions for Stina to answer?

I remember we presented a series of questions on CQD didn't we and although (I believe) the questions were asked,the answers were never published.

Some of them were answered, the problem was the questions weren't the ones we'd asked. I remember my question was so 're-phrased' by Veronique that it bore little resemblance to what I'd actually asked.

I'm a bit hazy now but i'm almost sure that we did two seperate Q & A's for Stina and that nothing from the second session was ever used.

But yeah,whatever we did on CQD never quite came out as we envisaged.

i'll look forward to being able to aks questions as a group here; that'd be the most interactivity we'll have with Stina, i'm afraid, but still would be very cool

If only Stina could sometimes be as communicative as Emma,who happily answers messages and corresponds with fans.....and even sticks up on-line photos of her daughter..... and her sink !!

They probably are but I would always feel uncomfortable asking any artist about a close relation as to my mind it comes across as using them and their position to get private info on a family member.
Its a bit rude and Emma has been so polite and enthusiastic with her communications, I don't really want to broach the subject about her sister.
I think Helen at V2 is still the best person to ask for info on Stina as thats done by the book on a professional and business like basis.

Some investment she did, maybe. I don't think royalties from her previous albums are enough to live on.

We also know that Stina has done some teaching in the past which must suppliment her income.

I would be interested in knowing just how many albums Stina has sold worldwide during her career.
Anyone got any guestimations?

Figures were given by Ian Grenfell when I asked him (shortly after he wrote he was no longer Stina's manager). Every album has sold around 50,000 copies worldwide. Except for And She Closed Her Eyes, that one sold around 125,000 copies.

Thanks for those sales figures, Paul.

So,if my maths is correct, Stina has sold roughly around 375,000 albums over a period of about 15 years.
Thats 25,000 copies a year.

Being very conservative if we say that post-tax,Stina collects £1 per copy, then thats £25k a year, plus other income from the 'Romeo & Juliet' film, the soundtrack to 'Aberdeen', guesting on Vangeles single etc etc.

hmmm....thats not a bad income to live on.

Comparing that 375k figure to, for example, Kate Bush's worldwide sales of 10m, then Stina has done pretty well considering she's never had a hit record or is particularly well known.
