By carefully avoiding the sport section of the News programmes i've so far successfully avoided all reports of Wimbledon so far.
Wish we had a storm here.....this himidity needs washing away and the garden is beginning to look a little dry now.

So Andy Murray is through to the fourth round of Wimbledon, in some style too - what a great performance from him on Centre yesterday evening!

In true British fashion my family all started feeling sorry for the other guy and supporting him.Partly because Murray 'never smiles'.

Terrific storm here last night. The new Wimbledon roof might yet get a chance to do its thang this week.

Again,my family are waiting with bated breath for the roof to close,which is going to be the highlight of the week.
Tennis is OK but I just can't understand why it's so much more prominent on TV than my game,Table Tennis,which has just as many characters,the same skill and drama (only at a much faster pace).Table Tennis is also far more popular on a worldwide basis.
I can only conclude that it's something to do with strawberries and Pimms,or some similar class thing.

He's getting better, but yeah, he's a dour Scotsman at the end of the day. He's not loved by the British tennis crowd in the same way that most previous - I have to say, ENGLISH - players have been. On the other hand though, he's the real deal when it comes to the tennis. It's kind of ironic that when we finally get a real contender at Grand Slam level, he's not a character that people warm to. It raises an interesting question: which would you rather have, a likeable loser, or an unlikeable champion?

Table tennis reminds me of holiday camps when I was a kid, for some reason. There might be a lot of other people out there like me.

OK, at least he's won that set. How, I don't know. Although I suppose this is what marks out a potential champion - the great ones don't always play perfectly, but they can dig in and still win when they're playing below par. John McEnroe says so, which is good enough for me.

Incidentally, how awesome is it to see tennis going on into the night at Wimbledon. They should just abandon daytime matches now and play all night instead.
