I like your photos of buildings too. There don't seem to be so many interesting buildings in the city in england where I am a student. Or maybe I just havn't spotted them yet. Maybe I will walk to my department next term and see what I can find.

Today I didn't have to go hunting for a "picture of the day", sadly.

My cousin, who lives nearby, came today with a little birdie that had crashed on her balcony window. She brought it to me to see what you're supposed to do with it. At first I didn't know what to do ... but then I gathered myself and remembered what little training I have in that field so I checked the wings and they weren't broken and neither were its legs. But the poor little thing wasn't trying to fly or to get away. Oftentimes when this happens the birds are fine, they just have to get over the blow and you know get over the hit to the head and then they fly away. So I took the bird out to the yard and just held it and tried to see what it would do and sure enough it tried to get away from me but it still couldn't fly. I picked it up again and then I noticed that it was coughing/spewing blood - and that's <i>baad</i>. There's nothing you can do about internal damage so I took it out to the forest and laid it there, left and let nature have its course. It wasn't trying to fly even when I left it on the ground.

It's sad ... ... but nature doesn't understand "sad" right? I wish I could say that "it felt safe in my hands" or whatever mushy stuff but the truth is that it was trying to get away from me really hard. I was just stressing it out and making things worse ... you could see that the breathing was heavier and it bled more after trying to get away.

Anyway ... I took pictures to remember it by. I can't really tell what kind of bird it is 'cause it wasn't an adult bird. They're not that great but I didn't wanna stress the little thing more so I just snapped some real quick.

To my knowledge there is nothing Portuguese in my heritage.
But I'm Latin American so... I'm a mix of pretty much everything.

Oh... my lastname is Galician which is close to Portuguese... I just remembered. So there you go! There is one very faint connection.
