I'm sure Fiona will find her way to a good label, it's a brilliant work and rumours that were heard from Sony like "We won't release this cuz there's no choice for a single", etc, sounds like b*llshit to me; it's a really nice work!
It's dramatic the way that crappy pop stuff find their ways for contracts instantly and some good artists have to fight to get some copies pressed! [:xx]

I'm no expert on FiAp, but I'm sure that either she has enough money to press it herself or find someone who would do it for her. The issue isn't that this 'quality' music isn't getting released. Sony in their wisdom have not released Fi from her contract, presumably because she hasn't earnt enough money for them to recoup costs and they seem unwilling to let anyone else (i.e. another record co.) enjoy the fun, especially after footing the presumably not inconsiderable studio costs. Maybe they think Fi will come up with something more bankable (maybe they've more or less told her as such). Whether she'll play ball is another thing. irrespective of how much moola Sony may have in general, in many ways each artist has a sort of 'bank account' with the corporation and dealings are based on that. I'd guess Fi's is deep in the red. But without figures this is all speculation.

Does anyone know where the album can be downloaded now? I managed to get EM, BVOM, Get Him Back and Used to Love when they first leaked, but then the website was taken down so I'm still missing the rest.

Sailor" on Apple?s website and Myspace page. iTunes will begin selling the two tracks together as one of them "bundle" things tomorrow, with other online music stores hawking them separately.
The new Extraordinary Machine was produced by Mike Elizondo, whose name you might recognize from the credits on various Dr. Dre-related records. (Fiona goes gangsta!) Soundtrack superstar/Kanye-friend Jon Brion helmed the leaked version, but the official album will sound "radically different," Elizondo told the New York Times. "Everything was done from scratch." Mmm...fresh-baked Apple pie, made from scratch. Can?t wait to dive in.

It's good that these songs are finally released. Although I don't believe that Fiona herself has kept these songs from being released. Let's wait for the interviews to promote the new album. I really curious about what she's going to say about this delay and the leaked versions.
