It's fine Beth.If I had the film to hand,I'd join in,but I haven't and I've been so f-ing busy the last few weeks that I can't find the time to post a letter in the daytime,let alone get to the Library to borrow MD again.

I am however very aware that my capacity for detailed discussion of things that interest me can be very taxing for the rest of the board, so I quite understand if nobody wants to join in. It's just there's so little in-depth discussion of anything on this board, and everyone always complains about how dead it is. I was just trying to do my bit. [b)]

Never mind.

For my sins I'm just totally useless at analyzing stuff.Or perhaps I'm ok at analyzing stuff in my head but run out of steam trying to get it down in words.I have a very low boredom threshhold and the moment I'm wandering then its gone and I lose interest.
I've long lost count of the amount of posts I've scrapped half way through owing to failing interest. [b)]

But I always enjoy reading everyone elses posts,even the taxing and in-depth ones.

I'm around the half way mark of Inland Empire (it's 3hrs long)and all I can say is that Mulholland Drive in comparison is accessible, mainstream cinema. My head was hurting 10 minutes into Inland Empire, my god, it's a f-king labyrinth of a film

I've not dared to peak at anything on the IMDB about it, but IE is Lynch's Mount Everest! I cannot wait to read about people's concepts and ideas on this one! Md and Lost Highway have taken up many an indepth conversation with friends, IE I think may take an actual 2 week retreat just to get over the arguing and disagreements before even daring to approach it rationally!

I'll start a thread on it when I have got my head somewhat around what may or may not be going on or not going on that could actually be all something else altogether, or it's maybe not. So in about the year 2028 then, perhaps!

I've only seen Mullholland once a few years ago, I really should watch it again because I still don't know what was going on in it at all, especially the ending. O.o
