I recorded Fireworks back in 1997-98 as a planned single b-side before everything turned to crap, I'm recording at the moment so I'll see what I can come up with...

I'm afraid I going to have to pull out of this project, I can't find any free music program for the PC that I can use to remix her tracks.

When I return to Uni for my advertising course in just over a months time, I will have sweet access to tons of Macintosh computers that will contain GarageBand. So I may give it a go then.

But for now, that's on hiatus.

Good luck D.a walker, I'll anticipate your version as you have already done one before.

I started rehearsing today for a couple of gigs in the coming weeks... and tried a cover of Welcome to Happiness... don't know if I'll do anything with it yet, but who knows.

Look,not every piece of music in the world has to have an incessant 4/4 beat rammed into the listener's ears just because 90% of the rest do. Some pieces just don't need it.
It just so happens that 'Crime' is a poetic reflection about love gone wrong,and it seems (to me anyway) that such a remix is entirely out of character with the mood of the lyrics. Does anyone else agree?
Nothing personal,Nathanjay.I have a music degree and have worked professionally in music for 30+ years,so I'm inclined to hold strong opinions.

I completely agree, vapid house remixes of decent songs are worthless.

Does that refer to your Alan Bean remix,which was rather more appropriate?
I'd be extremely surprised if you managed to penetrate to Stina's inner circle more recently than 2005.

hahaha okay so it was hypocritical of me to make an open thread like this and then pan the only remix that ever got posted. I was actually thinking of when Armand Van Halen remixed Professional Widow by Tori Amos when I wrote it, not your song. house/club/trance just isn't my thing.

Erm....I didn't mind that at all actually. Interesting atmospheric film....good to have the lyrics to go with it too.....love the opening part......the beats drive the song along......Stina's vocals seem more playful?......yeah,that was ok. Well done.
I wonder what folk would think if that was the original version?
The problem always is with a re-mix is that its always compared unfavourably with the orginal version.
