), it kept breaking apart when I tried to roll it out, I think I made it too dry or something. In the end I had to improvise, and instead of making a pie I made a flan. I got enough of the pastry rolled out in one piece to line a flan dish and just poured the gorgeous bacon/leek/everything else mix into it, and cooked it that way, without the pastry lid. It came out really well anyway, and it was DELICIOUS!! 
I made a simple potato salad to go with it (simmer a pan full of new potatoes till just tender, then transfer to a colander and run under cold water for a couple of minutes, then add chopped spring onion and chives, half a tub of low fat natural fromage frais, and mix), and what can I say, a lovely meal and all made with my own fair hands. Pizza next.
