Hey everyone!
I'm here too, buti'm sooo busy that i have no time to log in the board, so i know i have missed plenty of things going on... I just log in for a few minutes each time just to make sure that you're all here & the Stina community is still in its place!
My life these days is shared to work, university & making music or trying to arrange some live performances here. Plus i have a wonderful affair which takes most of my free time which is great of course! But i miss you guys in here sometimes and recall the good old CQD days...

Elfy, nice to see you're OK! As you can see no, i'm not clockworkorange, but i know this guy personally!

It's good to see some people back here -even if it's for a short while! it's still nice to hear from you. I guess we'll just have to accept that Stina isn't the kind of person you'll hear something new about every week. SO in that light it would be sad to close a site like yours Kuhn, cause people will still visit it and come to know more about an otherwise 'obscure' artist. And for us fans, we still come by every now and then just to have a look. And it's a great database of things that have happened. I myself can never get bored with old news and memories of a past good time; i love to remember the past and it's also why i'll never stop being interested in Stina.

I'm glad i got to know you people, cause wo else am i gonna talk about Stina with? Maybe it'll be nice to get some more Stina discussion going, like how we think about it now, at this time and what it means in our lives.. But i just enjoy coming here and meeting people that share my interest and also read about other things that interest us!

To make a long story short, in February (how time flies!) the old official Stina site for some reason closed, leaving some people frustrated, other annoyed.

............and the vast majority totally pissed off .........in more ways than one.

Currently I'm really busy sorting out some stuff in my personal life, in some ways things are going real good, but on other fronts I'm having a real hard time. These are twisted times for me. My full attention is needed for my personal life and also my education.

As much as I would like to, I don't expect to spend much time here in the near future. Maybe some Stina news might refresh the interest in the board here.

Very very busy these times, so I will scarcely be there...
Working on my album (mix at last !!!) and on a puppet/sound/music... show : first one scheduled on february 2006, and we have a lot of work left. Plus another record about "a day in the hospital" I have to mix too for early 2006. and also a plastic and sound installation for january... gosh, it's crazy !
+ personal life, of course !

Anyway, I'm still coming here from time to time, so see ya !

Seems like most if not all of use are quite busy nowadays - be it work, education, romance and/or something else!

Due to exams and other stuff I will not have time to read through everything here before the end of December.

But thanks for any comments, and I'll be sure to make some "proper" feedback in the near future.

Keep posting, and do make comments and come with suggestions!

Hey everyone. Seems like the bi-annual 'where have all the people gone' thread is here again.

Seriously, reading some of the comments in this thread, it seems there is very much a feeling that what happened at the end of CQD destroyed a lot of the good feeling we had built up as a group. I think it's gone for good really, sad to say. Personally I had a few issues toward the end that were not connected with the fate of the forum, more to do with getting tired of being called 'The Scalpel' every time I ventured an opinon on something, or being made to feel like a ranting feminist because I objected to prejudiced language. I got very disillusioned and disappointed with people I'd previously respected, which was kind of the death knell for me. CQD felt like a very unwelcoming, hostile gentleman's club at the end, where an intelligent woman posting in a serious way on things she felt strongly about just seemed to cause resentment. I can't speak for Sara, but I don't think it's a coincidence that the two most vocal female members just stopped bothering to post in the end, and never really did contribute much to the successor forum.

Personal issues aside, I will always think very fondly of the GOOD times we had at the Barbie-board and CQD, the great laughs we had in happier days. Discovering that little group of people when I first got into Stina's music was such a wonder for me, and even though Stina's career seems to have gone into hibernation for the moment, I hope this forum continues for new people who find her music in the future.

I am around, in silence, which is quite a relief for me considering the unsubtle bomb I dropped a while back. I tend not to be backwards in coming forwards and it doesn't sit well with a lot of people.

I am not really into posting these days but still very fond of Ms Nordenstam, and this really is the only resource on the net which is reliable for her.

Know what you mean Beth,I have the patience of a saint in regard to most things [angel] but the Pythia of Stockholm,and all her attendant oracular vestal virgins are extremely trying.It's very easy to feel shat upon by them.Wanting to remain anonymous is one thing,but it's easily possible via a forum,for Chrissake.Ah well,I'd still cross the motorway for a bit of Nordenstam (S.) music if I heard some.

Do you mean that you guys are actually still mad at V?ronique?
The way I understood the end of CQD was: Veronique got married and just had more important things to do than spending her whole time on the site of another artist. Remember that V. was an artist herself!
And now that she's busy with the laundry, cooking and cleaning up the house...

But I agree that things could have been "achieved" in a easier way, more straight-forward...Everyone would have been happier.

Very well said. I totally agree with Elizabeth on this. And maybe we'll be part again of that process one day again.
