Just to out-obscure you all, there's a kind of opera local to Zhejiang province that I liked on telly. I couldn't find any CDs or DVDs of it. You probably need to go to Zhejiang to see it.
i heard a bit of chinese opera once and thought it was quite good. now, *tapping away at the keys* are there any ryanair flights to zhejiang going cheap?
