It would have been very appropriate, given how I've been feeling about this birthday. I seriously would have collapsed laughing if someone had got me that cake.

Haha, thank you! I'm still celebrating indeed, mainly because several people bought me large bottles of gin as presents.
Being 40 isn't nearly as depressing as I feared it might be, though my life is a sorry shambles at the moment. But I guess that can happen at any age. I just have to look forward now and start again, older and definitely wiser.
