I was chatting with someone about the logo last night and they said if you turn it upside down it looks like a celeb....(you work it out)

I had to laugh at this. I recently returned from holiday, we landed at Heathrow and we were met by lots of signs advertising London as the home of the 2012 olympics. We had plenty of oppurtunity to admire these as the moveable walkway did not fit up against the plane door (20 minutes waiting in the plane after a 9hour flight), then when they did fit it, we were told it wasnt working (another 15mins waiting), then we were told we were bieng transfered by bus to the terminal , unfortunately know one seemed to have told ground transportation (20mins waiting for buses to arrive), then inside the terminal the escalators had been switched off, preventing us from actually accessing customs (another 15minute wait) until an engineer arrived, he looked puzzled and shook his head, so we all just headed up the escalators anyway. What a first impression of London for those international travllers.

I think losing the empire has affected our confidence.

Also,losing the willingness to walk more than ten yards (to the car) has resulted in Britons,along with everyone else,becoming dependent on things like travelators,airport buses,escalators etc.
Our Olympics is going to be SO bad

I'm still hoping that darts will be brought in as an official Olympic sport in London. S'only right. And we might win something!

and to accompany darts they should have a beer drinking competition,so as the Irish can win a gold medal (cos they,ve no chance in owt else) [what]

Ireland had that drugged swimmer the other year,mind.She made the best use of available resources
