British Indie label XL Recordings will be releaseing the compact disc version of the album.....sometime (early?) next year.

Sorry, but this album for me is an absolutely massive let down. It's everything I didn't like about Thom's solo album.

It's not a patch on their previous albums. Especially the divine Kid A.

It's amazing how differently people hear things .... 'In Rainbows' isn't anything like The Eraser, for me, I found the latter very dry and static, whereas IR seems incredibly warm and sensual by comparison. I love the way it flows. There's really only two tracks I'm not keen on, 'Bodysnatchers' and 'Jigsaw Falling Into Place', which are both a bit too bog-standard indie rock for me and rather let the album down. I'd like to have seen those two replaced by 'Down Is The New Up' and 'Go Slowly', both of which are coming on CD2 next month. That would have been one stellar album.

I just can't get over the difference in Thom's singing, from KidA/Amnesiac/HTTT to this new one. The vocal performances on 'Nude' and 'Reckoner' make me want to hunt him down and ravish him. Very slowly.

Hmmm. It hasn't taken long for EMI/Parlophone to organise a cash-in, now that Radiohead have signed with another label. They're releasing a 7 cd box set containing all the albums from Pablo Honey to Hail To The Thief, plus the live album I Might Be Wrong, next month. Looks as if it will only be available to order online initially, but I'm sure it'll turn up in the shops eventually.

Hilariously, the whole set is also being released on a USB stick. Even Radiohead fans aren't such tech nerds, surely.
