The other Stina/Sylvian song is 'Birds sing for their lives'-well worth checking out.
Elfy-other Sylvian albums-'Brilliant trees' is good,but my favourites are the instrumental albums he did with the wonderful Holger Czukay of Can-'Plight and Premonition' and 'Flux and Mutability'.Gorgeous, sumptuous music, 'ambient' I suppose.He did some rubbish ones with Robert Fripp on board.

Nine Horses - Snow Borne Sorrow
it's such a great album, I can't believe how much i've been playing this and it's still not boring me
. I really love how the album begins with 'Wonderful World. And the ending is very good too of course with Stina's track...

too bad there ain't no real music videos. It would have been great to see one for 'Wonderful World' and Stina being in it as well

My two most very favourite female artists in the whole wide world ( honest!) are Stina Nordenstam and Virginia Astley.......and both have now recorded duets with David Sylvian.
How weird is that?

I'd been aware of Stina's work for years and the thought had occasionally crossed my mind of singing a duet of sorts with her. Once I'd completed the lyric for 'Wonderful world' I knew I'd found the opportunity for us to work together. We corresponded via email at first then Steve and I flew to Stockholm to record her vocal.

Yes! a new EP is coming real soon with remixes of the tracks featuring Stina:
January 2007 (December 2006 in Japan) will see the release of an extended play cd, featuring two new tracks, Money For All (the title of the ep), co-written by David and Burnt and the fairly upbeat and danceable 'Get the hell out' by Steve and David. The ep will also feature remixes and interpretations by Burnt of 3 tracks from the Nine Horses album 'Snow Borne Sorrow' (The Banality Of Evil, Wonderful World, and Serotonin) and alternative versions of the two new tracks plus the Japanese only released bonus track 'Birds Sing For Their Lives' with Stina Nordenstam.
Nine Horses' Snow Borne Sorrow is definitely the most listened cd in my collection

I downloaded the ep from Soulseek. The WW remix is nothing special, but the Japanese bonus track makes it worth the purchase.

I love "birds sing for their lives", it's an awesome track; i wouldn't mind if the new Stina album would be like this; maybe Stina could also throw this one in as a bonus track...

I bought the EP 'Money for All' last week; i was surprised to find it at 'Saturn', and they even had two copies!
The two new tracks are very good; i like how David uses electronic music; not so much jazz sounds on this EP (also not in the remixes of the tracks of Snow Borne Sorrow). But I can't wait for a new Nine Horses album coming out soon.
It's also good to hear Stina on this EP again and of course it's the first real appearance of the track "Birds sing for their lives" (outside of japan) making some good advertisement for Stina!

anyone attending the Copenhagen or Paris concerts in September? I hope to catch both (though Copenhagen looks a bit iffy)...
