I still can't access the videos on youtube. I tried temporarily disabling my Windows firewall and even uninstalled the Norton Anti-Virus that was already on the laptop when I got it (don't worry, I've since installed another anti-virus programme), but nada. I don't know what else could be preventing the videos from loading on my machine, it's so annoying.

When I was in care as a teenager my foster mum had a cat that used to sit on top of the piano in the dining room whenever my foster sister was practicing. I think it was more the rapid movements of her fingers up and down the keyboard that fascinated, than the sound.

There must be some DLable software for Windoze to rip videos from YouTube.They're just Flash files-do you have Flash enabled/installed on your browser? Or try another browser-I presume you're using IE,why not get hold of Firefox(Mozilla) or Opera,which comes with Macromedia?
I know an easy way of saving them to my HD on my Mac,just double-clicking on the right file in the Activity monitor.Then you can watch them by changing the suffix to .flv and using VLC.
There must be a way of doing this for Windows.

The video is of a cat PLAYING the piano.Not just running up and down the keys.Bizarro. (It needs a few lessons, mind)

I wouldn't know how to do any of that on my machine, Dave, I'm computer-handicapped. It took me an entire evening of searching through help topics both on youtube and in Windows to figure out that it might be the firewall/anti-virus affecting play, then more faffing about trying to find out how to disable them temporarily.

How do I check if I have Flash installed? And what do I do if it isn't?

if flash is enabled you'll see a nice animation, if not it will ask you to install the plugin.

it's not a firewall thing as youtube is using the same port as other websites.

Cinnamon jumped through our conservatory window into the kitchen yesterday at 7:30am. Amazingly she didn't manage to hurt herself at all. The window was obliterated as were the glasses in the sink. It seems she took a running jump and dived through, it highly distressed the other cat. We still are not sure why she did this. She's going to the vets early next week, a friend of ours niece is a vet and has seen her before, we'd rather she sees a vet we can trust. The strangest thing is that Cinnamon did not get remotely traumatized by this incident. She's been fine, no hissing or growling or trying to attack Misty, and is as calm as can be. Needless to say the glazier was an unexpected expense.

I can tell you the sound was one hell of a fright and it was the last thing I expected to see.

I've clicked that link Alex, not seeing any animation but it's not asking me to install anything either.

That is completely bizarre.

I think it's just as well she's seeing a vet soon, it sounds like there is something going on that needs sorting out.

I managed to get my other cat, the rather energetic Misty Dixon, to pose, or more accurately keep still for 10 seconds. The pics are on my myspace page if you want to see the little madam!!

Misty gets very excited by music, I think she likes vibrating bass lines, it makes her chirp, purr and run up and down the hall with her tail up!!

I went on to your MySpace page Daniel but I couldn't see any photos of the cats? I think I was a bit dazzled by all those dancing skeletons, mind.

yeah the pics link is under the main photo of me (when I used to be a zombie)at the top left of the main page.... I think there is about 4-5 cat pic on there, only one of cinnamon, she does not like cameras very much!!
