Well I don't think my grandson will be making his entrance on 10.10.10 after all, no sign of his mum going into labour at all. Just had a call from her, she's going out of her mind with boredom and waiting now, not helped by everyone under the sun giving her advice about how to get labour started.

On the plus side, she's becoming a champion spider solitaire player on the computer.

A very good way of inducing labour is to recreate the conditions that led to conception

So I've heard! I think she'd be mortified if her mum suggested she go and ravish her partner, though.

I feel so sorry for her, I remember only too well that last couple of weeks and how much you start to go crazy with the waiting. Then when it all finally starts you panic and wish you could go back in time.

Ah well, we'll go and do some window shopping tomorrow, it's a rare weekend off for me and it'll be nice to spend the day with her, hopefully it might take her mind off things a bit.

Perhaps some of these forthcoming 'famous' birthdays might help predict juniors arrival?

Margaret Thatcher is a Libran? That has to be a mistake - wow, she must have some seriously bad aspects in her chart.

It's just occurred to me that if he goes more than a week over his due date, he won't be a Libran at all. He'll be a Scorpio, like his dad. OH NOES!!! I want a little Libran, all charming and sweet and peace-loving. Scorpios are scary.

My son's a triple Scorpio and he's not scary. Certainly nothing like as scary as Foggin Thotcher.

My daughter is a Pisces with Scorpio Ascendant and a Cancerian moon. All that watery emotion can be quite engulfing if you get on the wrong side of her, and the Scorpio anger is definitely scary.

Being an Aries myself, I have an instinctive respect for / fear of Scorpio. We're sort of each other's nemesis, the two signs most capable of explosive and highly damaging anger. I worked with a Scorpio for some years and although we got on very well on an everyday level, we were very, very careful around each other.

Ha, the little lad must have heard me and decided he wants to be a Libran - Kate just called me, all excited because she's had a show. Looks like he's finally on his way!

Oh she cleaned Mothercare out months ago, Rob. I suspect shoes will be the order of the day, today.

Turns out it wasn't a real show after all, she saw the midwife today and the baby's head isn't even engaged yet! So he'll be a while yet. Midwife again next week, and if nothing happens after that, she's booked in to be induced on the 28th.

Only nine days left to be a Libran, little boy. Get a move on!

If he can hang on til December 22nd he can be a Capricorn
