She looks about 17 years old.

The usual nervous tv performance, but musically this song has come together a lot since the start of the tour. I just wish she didn't worry so much about how she looks while performing on tv, because it makes her struggle with the vocal - she sings much better when she's drooling and doing the mad staring eyes and looking like a total loony.

We call it Tori.

Her weird southern accent is one of the things I love about listening to her, but in recent years her pronunciation has become very strangled when she sings live. One theory is that her TMJ is responsible - she's in constant pain with it, and it's not the easiest condition for a singer to live with. It's amazing really that she's been able to do as much live work as she has.

OK, for those who don't know, Tori usually reserves the front row at her gigs and gives the seats to 'regulars' who attend many concerts, or fans who've travelled a long way to see her, or people she's talked to at the meet and greet before the show. One of the nicest things about the Tori tours is the way fans sitting way in back etc will suddenly find themselves upgraded to first row, courtesy of herself.

The two girls who got kicked out were apparently going back and forth to the bar to get drinks, talking loudly on their phones and generally behaving like ungrateful idiots who were annoying other fans. Tori let them know that wasn't acceptable behaviour in the front row.

I'm sure they'll behave next time.

Actually this is by no means the first time Tori has literally stopped the show to kick out people behaving badly - the funniest occasion on this tour was in North Carolina, when the venue security decided they didn't want people dancing and having a good time to 'Big Wheel'. Oh dear. Not even security men are safe from the redhead's ire, let me see if I can find the clip.

I suppose it was quite funny but I'm just finding her increasingly ignorant and unprofessional.
Can you imagine Kate Bush acting in such a manner?
I think Tori is just getting abit too big for her boots these days and is resorting to all sorts of dramatic outbursts,just to give herself some street cred as her career continues its slide down the pan.

She's always kicked people out for misbehaving Rob, it's not a new thing.

Personally I think the ignorant behaviour is very much on the part of the people annoying other fans. It's astonishing how badly some people behave at concerts, you wonder why on earth they're at a gig in the first place. Disrupting other people's enjoyment of a show they've usually paid a deal of money to see is just hugely ill-mannered, and the offenders deserve everything they get. I bet you those girls will think twice next time.

Its funny as the other week I was at a Squeeze concert and the girl in front of us was on her mobile texting all the time so we (partnet and I) spent half the time watching the show and the other half trying to see what she was texting.
My biggest gripe though is these people who stand up and start dancing in a seated area.
Its totally unfair to those behind who just want to sit down and enjoy the show.

Tori needs to fire her producer. The production and drums on ADP are so generic and mediocre it's laughable. also, i really do love Mr. Bad Man, Fat Slut, Devils and Gods and Father's Son, but the songwriting on the rest of the album is just lazy garbage imo.

(decided to talk about it again as i recently got some of her old maxi-singles at a used cd store and decided to listen to ADP to see if it was any better, i've whittled it down to 9 tracks but it's still hardly listen worthy really)

I think if you compare ADP to the old stuff, yeah, obviously, it's nowhere near as great or moving or epic or intimate or all the other things that we adore the old stuff for. I'd much rather Tori was true to her real gifts as a songwriter/pianist/vocalist, I'd love her to get back to where she once was artistically, but I don't think it's going to happen now. Unless doing this musical she's working on at the moment shakes her up and reminds her that there's more to life than trying to impress the rock world. She said in a recent interview that there will definitely be an album after the musical, but we'll have to wait and see. I think a lot depends on whether she ditches the major labels and goes it alone.

Certain AP tracks, like Dragon and Girl Disappearing, feel like classic Tori to me. And there are lots of tracks on the album I really enjoy just as good pop songs. I listen to it on that basis, and don't expect it to give me the same feeling that the old stuff does. I can enjoy it for what it is, whilst still wishing it was a lot more.

She can't fire her producer, it's this scary redhead called Tori Amos. I do think she should ban her husband from the studio, though. His 80s guitar-hero-wannabe playing on ADP ruins some otherwise OK tracks, like Almost Rosey.
