Oooh, Del's been mouthing off, has he? I must say he comes across as a bit of a twit in the book, I remember there were rumours that Kate's family weren't too impressed with him and I can kind of see why.

I was wrapped up in my quilt on the sofa most of the day yesterday so I got stuck into the book and in fact I'm enjoying it, I like the writing style and the fact that the writer isn't just up Kate's backside with non-stop cries of 'genius!11!!', the way every other male journalist in the history of the world seems to be. He clearly loves her music but has the ability to step back and look at her objectively, seeing the real person, not the sugar-coated version we get rammed down our throats all the time. I was pretty shocked to read about the instances where even early in her career she'd claimed all the credit for certain things that were actually done by other people, her choreography and some of the ideas that went into her stage show. I knew of instances later in her career where she claimed credit for other people's work, but it was a surprise to learn of the earlier incidents. Typical Leo behaviour, I have to say.

I really love the way the writer paints a portrait of her childhood at East Wickham Farm that accurately explains how it shaped her later work, without sailing off into the airy-fairy version you always hear elsewhere. She was an incredibly lucky little girl to have been raised in such a loving, protective environment where she was encouraged to express herself and think of her imagination as a valuable gift. Luck has played a very big part in her achievements.

Little brother needs to play catch up on big sis's musical interests i think.

Bless him, he usually gets me whatever Tori has released during the year, but this is the first year for ages that there hasn't been anything new!! Kate was obviously the fall-back.

Well, we've only just met so I don't know if there's any potential yet! But I'm interested to get to know him, which is more than I've been for a long time.

Mr Palmer did have a few on-line rants on the authors website when the book was published which was totally unjustified.
Overall, i think the book is fair and objective....and as accurate as it can be considering he had no direct access to Kate's inner circle.

Not sure how well it sold though as i never did see any copies in the bookshops.

Just cooked tonight and while I was doing some stuffs on my computer, water boiled and spread on my infrared cooker (because I put too much water I guess) and I didn't noticed it until power went down
So my infrared cooker is dead and I need to find something else to eat tonight I gonna try to fix the cooker but I'm not sure about how this will end...

If the water has got down into the electrics then you've probably blown the fuse. Its probably worth letting the electrics dry out before testing/replacing the fuse,otherwise it will simply blow again.

Alternatively, with cooker unplugged, just open up the cooker and try to dry out the electrics.

I'd ring out for a pizza to be delivered if i were you.

I had stew and dumplings for tea in case anyone is interested.

I opened it and dryed out the whole electric parts but i'll wait tomorrow to try it.

My oven is perfectly working so I made vegetarian lasagnas tonight, yummy for sure

ok, it was obvious after reading your message that was not about the drink, but I was too disturbed about my cooker that I misread it; thanks anyway for the explanation !

My cooker is fixed, I tried it this morning and worked fine; so I'm happy that I won't need to buy a new one as it's expensive !

Yeah,mid-day meals have always been 'dinners' to me....even at school it was always dinner-break but maybe now it is lunch break.
