Isn't it - I love David Niven's terribly British cool at the beginning when his plane is in trouble and he finds June over the airwaves.

Yep,that's it,beat me to it.Also a great film,though I prefer 'Wings of Desire',one of my all-time to 10.
'A matter of life and death',of course.One of the (many) films on my must-get-round-to-seeing-it-sometime list.

I only saw 'Paris, Texas' once, years and years ago, I can't remember much about it now. Must rent it sometime.
