My brother's next door neighbour had an angiogram (or something similar?) only for his test the catheter when right up into his brain. 
Hope the tests go well Dave,it'll be a good thing to have done,despite the slight risks involved. Not having them done would no doubt put you at a higher risk in the long run.
Glad to read you are feeling alot better Beth and that your hearing isn't as bad as you initially feared.

They're staying out of my brain, or else 
It's ridiculous, I cycled 5 miles this morning, mostly uphill, played 7 full-on games of Table Tennis, walked the dog twice, about 20 minutes each time. I feel fine. I can't help thinking the medicos are overreacting.

Is anyone else (especially in the UK) familiar with the Fortean Times publication? I have been visiting their web site on and off for years and have been going there a lot lately. I love reading the posts on their message board - especially the 'It Happened To Me' section. Great reading if you enjoy ghost stories and stuff like that!

I had a few books published by the Fortean Times when I was a teenager, exploring various areas of the paranormal. Very interesting, and I'm still into that kind of thing now in my middle age although more from a spiritual perspective. Now I have access to the net again I'll check out their website.
Well I'm officially looking after my grandson four days a week from today, his mum has just gone off for her first day back at work, a little bit teary at the thought of leaving him. I told her in a few weeks she'll be like most mums, glad to go into work for a rest and some peace and quiet!
He's not woken up yet so I'm catching up with my fave sites while I have the chance.

Nice to see a member posting, the board is quite calm these days (only spammers are active

I went to a festival this weekend, and I saw Portishead and PJ Harvey live (and more boring artists like Coldplay); I discovered some nice bands like I Blame Coco and Rival Sons. Sound was crap so I didn't fully enjoyed the performances unluckily.
Anyway, as I saw Portishead live I almost finished my wishlist for bands I wanted to see live (my last item is Pink Floyd for now).
My summer holidays started this week and I haven't planned a lot of things to do, I planned to visit London again but I just checked and the train ticket is almost 160 euros and hotels are quite expensive so I may not go there for now (I guessed it would be cheaper during the summer time but it's not at all!).

Seriously though, I bet Portishead were great to see. I was looking through a big box of cassettes just two days ago and found one of my old Portishead tapes.
