Now I
know some of you have seen this film, coz we've discussed it I' m sure ....
OK - adapted from a bestselling novel, this film was directed by a young writer/director/producer with family connections in the business.

The film is full of them - great visual style is a characteristic of this director's work.

I'mma have to give it away. This director's subsequent films include Lost In Translation and Marie Antoinette.

I already guessed Sofia? Sophie? Coppola because of the family thing,but I've never seen one of her movies...
So SOMEONE ought to be able to get it now.Or am I completely off-track?

Haven't a clue.
Looks like French writing on the dial so I'm assuming it's from a French film, in which case I haven't a snowball's chance in hell of getting it - my knowledge of European cinema is appalling.

it's not a french film
and the director is very famous (he received a palme d'or at Cannes for one of his movies).

is it a Lars von Trier film ?Dancer in the dark?,Dogville ? The Blur video?
I've never seen them so just guessing.

Yes it's a LArs Von Trier movie
but not the one mentionned here.

Europa is a wonderful "film noir" movie and I really advice people to watch it, even if it's not very easy to find (I found the DVD years after I wanted to buy it).
