'The Golden Compass' is the 'soon to be released' film based on the first part of Philip Pullman's 'His Dark Materials' trilogy.
My interest is the rumour that last week Kate Bush recorded a song called 'Lyra' for the project.

If true,it will probably be over the end credits but if anyone gets to see the film,please do let me know.

I read that the director originally wanted Björk to play "Serafina", whoever that is.

I'm very much looking forward to this, I adore the His Dark Materials books, including Lyra's Oxford! Hope the film doesn't disappoint!

hopefully it's as good as Bertie or whatever is on the second disc of Aerial

Is the movie gonna be good, real good? His dark materials saved me during all the time I spent home this year, I am excited about it having been filmed, but I have my doubts already...Nicole Kidman has the talent to play all the tones of Mrs Coulter, but the look doesn't fit at all...
Bjork as Serafina Pekkala would have been very interesting though..
