I'll start this topic in here, not sure if everyone will see the other one in the Stina section.

Merry Christmas to you all, hope you have a fab time whatever you're doing!

I'm not doing anything other than what I usually do at Xmas,rushing around the country seeing members of my extended family and arguing with them.
I have managed to avoid committing myself to doing a New Years Eve gig this year,which is just great.
Anyway,Merry Yuletide to all of our select bunch!

I'm working today and Boxing Day, so not much of a break for me. Quite honestly I feel so tired I'd love to just stay in bed the whole of Christmas day.

But I have to go to my mother's.

I'm going down to Kate's on Christmas morning to give the kids their presents and then I'm taking her to my bruv's place for Christmas dinner and a family get together.
Its just going to be a fairly quiet family Christmas really....nothing terribly exciting.

My wish for 2008 is to arrange a meeting, I read you were talking of Stockholm in another part of the board, but I must lobby for the netherlands of course . With Ryanair is cheap and very very close. Basically I couldn't meet you anywhere else with two small children...
Nothing fancy for us either, today dinner home, gourmetting, then open the few presents we manage to buy, tomorrow a more elaborated meal at my in-laws, hoping Ryuu will cooperate.

Well a meeting in the Netherlands would be nice too.... For the Frenchies (Franck, Alex and Elfy) it could be done by car.

I travelled from Paris to Amsterdam in bus, once. Rather cheap and not so uncomfortable, if you take some stuff to keep you entertained.

Oh my God, you guys! I received People Are Strange from my boyfriend, as a Christmas gift ! A friend borrowed it some years ago and we lost contact, so a new CD was required.

netherlands is a very good idea, so this place has my vote.

Woohoo, finished for the day! Working that is. And my neighbours on both sides appear to be off out visiting, so woohoo! Music out loud!

Someone gave me Frankincense and Myrrh for Christmas, can you believe. I'm over the moon. Tiny little bottles of the real distilled oil all the way from Saudi Arabia. I love scented oils and burn them in the house every day, but only the inexpensive fragrance oils you can buy in any high street here. I can't afford the good stuff, so that was definitely my best present!

I received a dvd boxset of 14 Hitchcock films, a zipped jumper and a portrait photo of my niece and nephew which they had done at a studio.
When they were young I was photographing them all the time but by the tim ethey'd got in their mid-teens they were less keen so the photo opportunities dwindled and finally stopped.
Its nice to have a really nice photo of them together as adults.

Those are the nicest presents. Things you can afford and don't expect to get for christmas.

This year no presents for me because we didn't have any presents under the tree. But I had my presents when we celebrated 'sinterklaas' in the Netherlands.
