I ended up at a party hobnobbing with local musical celebs- chatting to first,Jason Rebello,one of the worlds greatest pianists (but you haven't heard of him,have you?) who lives right here in my hometown.I went to a gig by him last week which was simply stunning,so we chatted about that,and also about some of my music (which he was very nice about,aw shucks).He's a very modest,likeable guy.Every time I hear him play I feel like sawing my arms off .
Later I was chatting to Lou Rhodes (*swoon*),who lives locally with friends of mine with her two kids,(seeing if I could blag a keyboard gig on her Euro tour,no harm in trying ).
Nice lazy day today before I set to and do a purge on the post-Xmas chaos in our house.

Nope. Shouldn't he be living it up in New York earning thousands of dollars a week as a session musician if he's that good?

Absolutely nothing to tell from here, we stayed home, we watched Little Miss Sunshine, had some slices of pandoro and I toasted with some fennel tea! Ryuu woke up from the noise and the fireworks, it took me hours to make him fall asleep again, and then he woke again...I'm sleepdrunk and coughing painfully. But I have a lot of hopes for this new year

Yesterday evening I spent the evening in Vleuten (a town near Utrecht) with friends playing all kinds of boardgames. It has been fun!

We stayed home too. Went to France to get this lovely puppy (a pug, Iona's Christmas present).
