The ripple effect

Remember our discussion about the US last election and my little explanation about the role of the media as brainwasher? Here's an excerpt from an interview of the excellent M. Ward, super fine songwriter already responsible for at least three masterpieces. His own words:
"I have seen the future of FM radio, and it is owned by Rupert Murdoch. The conservative right at the moment has the upper hand. It's had this ripple effect into every aspect of culture, in my opinion. That's the hardest thing about living in America right now. It has an effect on the way we communicate in every way, especially on television and radio, there is a censorship that is happening. Whether it's labelled as such I don't know, certain voices are being muffled as they are challenging the president. On a bigger scale it has this ripple effect into people's thought processes and that ends up having an effect on every part of every American city".
Matthew Ward tells this in a rather clumsy way somewhere, but it looks like it comes from a bad feeling, a worried intuition, uncomfort, but he's spot on nevertheless [:xx] .
