Desire Avenue

I've been playing the music of Scottish indie band The Delgados quite a bit of late.
I now have two of their albums 'The Great Eastern' & 'Hate' and whilst not masterepieces both contain some really good songs performed with inventive guitar/keyboard playing and traditional arrangements.
The alternating (song by song) male/female vocals gets a bit taxing (Blonde Redhead are further culprits) but overall,they were a great band who perhaps,with a bit of luck,could have been commercially successful.

The Delgados are brilliant, if you like them you should definately check out Universal Audio, thier last and best album I think, plus check out Emma Pollocks solo album 'watch the fireworks' too.

It would have helped this thread had I taken the trouble to have spelt the bands name correctly. (edit edit)

'Universal Audio' is on my list to buy but having just bought 'Peloton' and been less than impressed with it, UA isn't too high on that list.

Universal Audio is 100 times better than Peleton, but it back on your list

I've kind of moved on now .... they had their chance!
