As long as Derek Acorah promises to do his 'aaargh, I've just been felled by a spirit' thing where he screams and falls down dramatically. Have you noticed he did that in practically every night vigil he was involved in?

Too bad they dispensed with his services, he was comedy gold.

Didn't you just love how he'd lapse into those schizo possessions and then launch an onslaught of abuse at dear old Yvie? He seemed quite fond of calling her a wench during these sectionable occurances. But yes, my god he was hilarious to watch

I don't know about haunted but these forums have certainly been slow these past couple of weeks or so. They tend to speed up during the afternoons but in the mornings the pages won't download at all.
And before you say it Dave,its nothing to do with my PC as other sites/forums are absolutely fine.

the hosting server give various errors from time to time these days without a cause.
so there's nothing I can do to solve this problem as I don't want to move the board.

Thanks for that Alex......I couldn't see how the problem could be at this end but its still reassuring to know for sure that it isn't.

I also loved how he spewed out 'information' that anyone could find out from reading about the location. Fantastic. You know recently I've been reading Gordon Smith's autobiographies, he's a genuinely talented medium who has been subjected to testing by various scientists and left them baffled as to how he does what he does.Anyway in one of his books he tells some stories about 'mediums' he's encountered, including one famous one (unnamed) that he did a public reading with some years ago. Before it was due to start, Gordon went out to the car park for a ciggie and found this other guy writing down all the registration numbers of the cars there. During his 'reading', he'd say he had a message for someone in a red Astra, licence number .... I just KNOW it was Acorah!

Interestingly in series 6 of Most Haunted, the team had become highly suspicious of Derek, and had found out he had been getting info off various crew members! So they decided to expose him by feeding him fake history about a non-existant murderer, who's name when letters re-arranged spelt out Fake Derek. Guess what, his little 'friend' Sam, told him all about this false info!!! Shortly after he disappeared from Most Haunted. But what is quite hilarious is in the episode after, whenever Derek starts to go on one of his little medium moments, Yvette has the most fantastic looks on her face that basically read as, "can you believe the crap coming out of this man's mouth" and "for the love of god just shut up!"

Oh my god I didn't know they'd actually exposed him in the show, how fabulous. I knew he'd been caught out somehow and kicked off the show but I haven't seen that episode. Maybe there's a clip somewhere on youtube. While I'm there Daniel I'll try and find a little bit of outake from the programme that is absolutely hilarious if you haven't seen it, it must have been one of the 'live' editions because Yvette and assorted psychics and mediums are in the studio, mucking about either before or after the broadcast. Gordon Smith, whom I mentioned above, is one of the guest mediums and let's just say this clip confirms him as the down-to-earth bloke he seems in his books.
