Anyone heard of Lykke Li. I like her a lot. Check her out over at http://www.myspace.com/lykkeli. Love to hear what you think of it.

'Little Bit' displays an interesting vocalist but unfortunately none of the songs really do anything for me. A little more melody and a little less reliance on rhythm wouldn't do their music any harm.

Too often the vocal arrangements just seem too 'fussy' for their own good.

Its almost as if they realise that they have weak material and are trying to cover it up by making it all sound more interesting than it actually is.

Personally my advice is to ignore the above condemnation and check her out, she's actually very very good.

Not some mad english woman chanting folk songs in the middle of a field whilst drinking a cup of tea...

The only song I really like is Breaking It Up.

Especially the funky Breaking It Up (Punks Jump Up Remix)

I watched the video for Little Bit at the request of a friend last month, it's really good actually. I also downloaded "Dance, Dance, Dance", which I prefer. I'll get the album in a bit i think

I'm going to see her on 8 February, I'll try to take some pictures or something.

Lykke Li is a pretty good musician, very charismatic on stage when I saw her in Hultsfred & Roskilde.
Her album “Youth Novels” is okay, the songs “little Bit”, “Breaking it up” & “Let it fall” are special.
She can be compared with Stina or Björk, but never reach their level. In that way she’s more of a rip-off like Nina Persson of The Cardigans or something like that.
