I live in Southern Louisiana and I might get carried away to Oz later tonight.

There are ten people, seven cats, one ferret, and a whole lot of alcohol, food, and flashlights crammed into my three bedroom house. We're going to try to ride out the storm.

So, my electricity just came back on.

That was eight or nine days of 90 degree weather and hot humid Louisiana nights.

It was miserable. I mean really, really miserable.

Most of my friends stuck around and we watched the storm pass over relatively safely. A few houses down the road got a bit.. well.. crushed. We all survived though.

Now we all have to apply for unemployment and food stamps.
