Saw this on dvd last night and was (once the first seventeen minutes of waffling was out of the way) totally sucked into this tale of a 300 ft monster on the rampage on New York.
Played out 'Blair Witch' style via a hand held camcorder, the action doesn't let up once the film kicks into action. A bit short at one hour and twenty-one minutes (and that includes seven minutes of credits) but still well worth seeing.
8/10
Cloverfield
Re: Cloverfield
JJ Abrams who wrote it is the man behind Lost and the serie Fringe. Also he's finishing his work on the next Star Trek movie.
I believe in your smile everyday
But I know that you're far from my way
When I talk to the moon I can hear you
In the dark I can see, I can feel your light

Re: Cloverfield
The movie didn't suck as bad as I thought it would. But it was really short (which is a good thing) and certainly no Oscar-material.
