Not much musically going on this year yet! I've only bought 5 albums and 2 EPs released this year!!!!!

Considering it's May, almost June, where the hell is the good stuff!!!!!

So far I've enjoyed:

03. PJ Harvey & John Parish - A woman, A Man Walked By
04. Marianne Faithfull - Easy Come, Easy Go
05. Bibio - Vignetting The Compost
06. Clark - Growls Garden EP
07. Squarepusher - Numbers Lucent EP

And I am sure that I have no intention of buying the new Tori Amos album until it's at least down to $10 or less here (less than 4 quid!). Listened to it and it's crap.

My partner is off to the UK soon with strict instructions to find me some decent music!!!

I've only bought two albums this year.......Polly Scattergood's self-titled debut which is slighlty scatty pop in a 'Tori when still good' kind of way and also an album by The Deer Tracks, which I can't recall the title of now. It may have been released last year anyway. If you like Mum then you'd probably like this.

I've just ordered my first cd purchase of the year - the new Grizzly Bear album "Veckatimest".
If its half as good as their last album "Yellow House",(released in 2006),it'll be feckin' brilliant...

The positive aspect of having too few new albums to listen to is that at least you can devote more time to listen properly to each one. In the past i've been guilty of buying too many albums in a short space of time and then not properly listening to or appreciating them.

03. PJ Harvey & John Parish - A woman, A Man Walked By

This is a wonderful album

I bought the last Emiliana album at her concert in february. And that's it.
But the thing is, I really don't have any other albums on my wishlist. I wanted to buy The Crying Light from Antony and the Johnsons but that album is just more of the same and nothing renewing. So after listening I left the musicstore emptyhanded.

2009 has been saved by the divine Jarvis Cocker! I do so love Further Complications, it's fab, thumping well written smut!

I'm also very much in awe of Manic Street Preachers Journal For Plague Lovers. A band really finding their form again.

Hehe, and it's getting better, the new Wilco album is a stunner!

I'm getting quite interested in Regina Spektor, been checking out some tracks on youtube. I love 'Laughing With' and 'The Wallet' off the new album.

The latest album of The Gossip (Music for Men) is really great. And their latest single is just making me happy.
