I went with my ex (Kate) to the Colchester Arts Centre (where i was baptised a long long time ago trivia fans.....it was still a church then incidentally ) last night to see the ever wonderful Glenn Tilbrook (of Squeeze fame) in action.

Glenn's set was well balanced between new solo/Fluffers material and old Squeeze hits ( Up The Junction, Annie Get Your Gun, Another Nail In My Heart, Pulling Mussels From A Shell, Slap & Tickle, Take Me I'm Yours ).

Wow, not just white shoes, but PATENT white shoes! Tiny mid-life crisis moment there, Glenn?

I kind of fancied Glenn when I was a teenager. I loved the songs and he always seemed far too clever to be a pop star.

Aww, that's good. I'm glad you've salvaged a friendship from the relationship.

My husband is now going out with my former best friend from school. Which is .... awkward. Dom and I broke up kind of badly, unfortunately, so I haven't seen him at all for many months now. But I still see my former friend now and again in town and it's all a bit strained.

Ah well. Things work out how they're meant to, I think.

Well they say everything happens for a reason don't they but yes, things can get complicated,and usually when a third person is factored into the equation.
