Hi everyone,

I don't know if this is a bit of naive question, maybe everyone here already knows, but I am new here. Anyway, I am wondering WHERE is Stina Nordenstam now, 2010? I don't mean geographically, I just mean I haven't heard anything about her for an extremely long time. I absolutely adore her music and I am hungering for more albums and songs! Does anyone know what she's doing? Is she okay? Is she still making music?

Alas,we can't be much help. We're all asking the same thing, nobody knows. Well,somebody does, but they ain't telling us. Let's just hope that Stina is happy and fulfilled.

I here that Stina is soon to release a new single.......its a cover of Kate Bush's 'How To Be Invisible'

For the first time i'm actually beginning to doubt that there ever will be another Stina album!

That would have been unthinkable to me a couple of years back but time is passing so fast now that i really can't see Stina resuming her partially completed album nor can i see her writing that one off and starting afresh with a new one.

Even though it probably wasn't planned that way, The World Is Saved could well have been the final album.

But with films Stina would have to collaborate with other professionals and yet there's not been the slightest whiff of news about any film or artistic project.

Maybe she's won the euro-lottery and has retired?

It might just be that she doesn't have a distribution deal, something practical like that. With so many people self-releasing on the internet now though, I don't know why she wouldn't have done that.

I've been checking Google news (Sweden) about once a month for the last few years. Never a mention except in relation to another artist as an influence, or something similar.

I have a hunch-in one of the last interviews she gave, 4-5 years back, she says to the interviewer 'why did I use my real name?' as an artist, especially as one who abhors the public eye so much.
Maybe she's changed her name for whatever she is occupied with now.

Anyway, RobB, it's a little sad that you have finally joined most of the rest of us in deciding that Stina's music career has basically ended, because you were always more optimistic than the rest of us!
I think I gave up about 9 months into the 'Coming Soon' red herring.

A bit like Jane Siberry becoming Issa?
Or Cat Stevens becoming...whatever he became?
Or Prince becoming Squiggle?

Actually i think Issa is back as Jane Siberry again.....and squiggle back as......well,i think everyones forgotten him anyway.

That whole 'coming soon' holding page was a strange affair. It certainly had unique artwork which may or may not have been linked to the theme of the album that Stina was working on at the time.

Does anyone remember exactly when that 'coming soon' page appeared..... and disappeared?

I seem to remember it was a January when it appeared but i've already forgotten what year it was.

It does seem strange that she has work completed (possibly) but not released, this is what makes me think she's having trouble getting a record company to back her.
