Desire Avenue

I discovered her through the wonderous soundtrack she made for The Emperor's Journey and have spent many a fine day playing Vegetal ever since...but...what does anyone else make of The Big Machine?



I'm not sure to be honest, it has all the elements I should like, but it just seems to go a bit too OTT for my liking...which is a shame...

I mean I love the title track, it's gorgeous seductive and brassy, and Chinatown is rather cool too, but it just seems to lack that spark that Vegetal was awash with.



What does anyone else think?

I'm a big fan of Emilie's music since a long time and I was a bit surprised at first with Big Machine but now it's one of my fave albums
But Vegetal and Big machines are so differents, I can understand how hard it is to love both of them.
