New Comp...

or almost.
My comp broke down on Thursday and a pal of mine put me a new mother card, a new hard disk and some stuff. My problem now is that I can't burn any cds no more. The system fails at the beginning of the recording of the first tracks. I spent the whole day checking the net for a solution, but it seems like converting to windows xp can bring such problem. I did near to everything here, but nothing help. Do you think I'll have to buy a new cd burner? [help]

Not a new burner but new software that is completely compatible to XP ... or maybe that's what you already did.
It seems really strange that your burner would be physically harmed or impeded by simply changing the OS.

why not buy nero6 oem; i got it for only ?10; or buy a new dvd-writer, so you can burn your stina videos on a dvd

why not DOWNLOAD it from the net, Download it from their site and download the codes from a p2p site. I know I'm a copyright nightmare, around here.. [angel]

usually Nero oem is included with most of the dvd/cd writers packages...
about the XP hardware compatibility with your current writer I never heard of such a problem, have you checked your bios settings?

It's probably a Windows [censor] problem, as usual.
The DVD burner on my computer is causing similar problems.
Is yours up and running again now?

i think it's best to let the experts handle this Spook! very recently, (during my whole dracula user icon period) i reformatted my pc to XP from Win 98 and it was wrecked with viruses. couldn't even download patches fast enough..XP is [censor] [censor] [censor] and microsoft is the [censor] pits...if all else fails, reformat back to win 98, AND, send it to the manufacturer of the not working instrument (modem driver for me) ...

hum, I advice not to reformat to win 98 (pure shit !) but rather to Win 2000 (if you wanna stay Gatesified of course [evil]), much better.

I don't even get ANY junkmail
And the system is brilliant
And the graphics are a whole load better.

i reformatted to what my pc used before....i wouldn't advise microsoft for anything, but if you have the money to get anything else, of course, it would be much better.
